Well, look what we have here!
MuQute Music Group producer-cum rapper Blessmore "MclyneBeats" Matikiti has released his debut Gem as a rapper and its an Nine Track album entitled 'ALL MY FEELINGS' featuring Te3vo, Collin Ceezy, R Peels and Tulk Munny. Dropped earlier than anticipated, I was even caught off-guard, on the 1st of February.
His first album as a sole singer.
Born on the 8th of June 1994, Mclyne Beats is a producer from Harare, Zimbabwe. He began making beats early in 2009. Where he draws his aspirations is quite candidly put and is clear as the feelings prominently dripping from this project and the way he makes his beats. He gets inspiration from American producers in persons of Timberland , Dr Dre, Lex Lugar and many others.
And Yeah, well, talking about feelings, it is really 'feelings-filled' from the first track to the Outro, with perhaps "Why Usingandide" which was released off the album, being more emotional. Brace yourself, listen and feel free to catch some feelings!
Taking it from the vibe of this track, one would obviously guess that when he was cooking this track he was in the middle of an emotional doldrum which is really the case looking at the whole album or perhaps he was hitting that pot hard, I mean who really knows because its a feelings filled track. Why Usingandide", is as sad as the title, its a sad love letter to her.
Some will say its a sad album if you get to listen to another song titled 'Amai' - a tribute to her superstar and long suffering mom, but the level of production is a cut above the povoo which will make you think otherwise! The album has some international flavour to it, setting up some tone and pace for the fellow producers in Zim.
Fellow Muqute artiste and the 'Cap neTenesi' hitmaker R.Peels features and splits bars on a track 'On My Own', which is really a song to those who are alone but not lonely!
Tulk Munny the new boy is once again on 'I Need To Know', which is my favourite on the whole project. Listen to it and tell me if its a good track or flop?
With this pace, the Group has even promised to drop four more EP's this year which are going to be primarily produced by Mclyne Beats, having already dropped the first EP- MbiriKunaPharoah belonging to R.peels! You would think now what's left are Live shows and performances right? To keep it interesting and to nurture that talent!
Surprisingly enough on the album, whilst most of you think its a sad story album, comes 'Tonight'. The beat, is at least not sad but most surely puts you into some feelings, if not careful the next thing you will see is finding yourself in the bar looking for a girl to flirt with.
The atmosphere around 'Tonight' will remind you of other happy songs especially those-ones by EX-Q or 8L's Mainini everytime you come across this slow jam.
Other tracks to look out for, in this project include 'Motivation' featuring Te3vo and Confessions which is an Interlude which features Antonio.
Eyes and ears now anticipating in wait, the coming EP's from Mukute Prod.
